Shawn Ashman, also known as Lady Ash, is a talented artist, author, and CEO and founder of The Art of Motivation Inc., born in Kingston, Jamaica. Known for her unique mixed media works inspired by modern cubism, she has exhibited her art in galleries across Jamaica and the United States. Despite being self-taught, Shawn has honed her skills in mixed media techniques, using a wide range of materials like acrylics, ink, oil, charcoal, and recycled materials. Her art is marked by bold, contrasting colors and dynamic compositions that convey strong, positive messages.
Shawn holds a Master’s in Management Information Systems and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, coupled with over 20 years of corporate experience, including 15 years as a Director of Information Technology. She is a certified thought leader and coach, driven by a deep desire to inspire others to embark on journeys of self-discovery and embrace the freedom of expressing their authentic selves.
Her artistic mission is to create works that reflect her life, aiming to inspire and encourage those who engage with her art. Through her work, Shawn fosters a deep connection with viewers, inviting them to explore their own authenticity and celebrate personal expression.
Combining her corporate knowledge and artistic passion, she leads unique art-based workshops that help organizations build creative and motivated teams, providing a perfect blend of education and entertainment. Shawn also hosts the podcast Masterpiece Moments, where she shares her experiences and offers motivational advice.
In addition to her workshops and corporate endeavors, Shawn advocates for creativity and positive living through her own Masterpiece Gallery in Jamaica. She continues to inspire and motivate artists and art enthusiasts worldwide through her programs, books, and ongoing artistic journey.
