Shawn Ashman, widely known as Lady Ash, is the CEO and Founder of The Art of Motivation Inc., a transformation company that uses creativity to build emotional wellness, confidence, innovation, and personal growth. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Shawn is an accomplished artist, author, creative strategist, and former ICT director who boldly left a 20-year corporate career to pursue her calling: helping people transform their lives through the power of creativity.

With more than 15 years of leadership experience in information technology, Shawn transitioned from corporate management to full-time entrepreneurship to establish a company rooted in the belief that creativity leads to transformation. Today, she blends her technical expertise, coaching background, and artistic practice to design high-impact programmes for schools, youth groups, correctional institutions, corporate teams, and communities across Jamaica and the diaspora.

Shawn is the creator of Draw It Out Jamaica, a nationally recognized emotional wellness and creative-therapy programme helping individuals express emotions, build resilience, and gain clarity through guided drawing and journaling. Her work spans multiple platforms—including Paint • Sip & Inspire, Masterpiece Club, Life on Canvas, and Masterpiece Gallery Jamaica—all designed to inspire self-expression, healing, and human connection.

As a mixed-media artist, Shawn is known for her bold, cubist-inspired works infused with vibrant color, symbolism, and storytelling. Her art has been exhibited in Jamaica and the United States, and her creative methodologies continue to influence her workshops, coaching sessions, and community initiatives.

Shawn holds a Master’s in Management Information Systems, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, and professional certifications in coaching and leadership. She is passionately committed to helping people unlock their voice, rediscover their confidence, and use creativity as a pathway to personal and collective transformation.
